My one layer card today is for the current challenge at the One Layer Christmas Card Challenge, where it's always anything one layer Christmas card goes. There's an optional twist: green.
Because of the decluttering and re-organization hubby and I have been doing these past few weeks, the living room where one corner has become my craft space is in shambles and I'm lucky if I can find the supplies I need when I need it. (The good news: I start moving into my travel-trailer-turned-art-studio this week!) I decided to create a card with the optional twist but couldn't find the mistletoe stamp I wanted to use. So I improvised and used non-Christmas stamps (Artsy Border Maker) to create the Christmas tree. I masked the card to create a triangle and then stamped in black ink. Then I took my green Japanese watercolor brush pen and swiped it across my "tree". Last, I stamped the sentiment in red. And the card is done :o)
I hope you can stop by the blog and check out what the OLCCC girls -- Susan, Kim, Vickie Y., Lee-Anne, and Nonni -- have made for the challenge. Of course, we'd love it if you'll join us and link up your one layer Christmas card(s) to the gallery. 2015 is half-way over, you know, and Christmas will be here soon, so it's a good idea to get started on those Christmas cards :o)
