Paper craft project no. 440: Be ready to soar one layer card

We have a brand new challenge at Time Out. For the next couple of weeks, it's the Inspired by Words challenge. Here's the inspiration: May all your weeds be wildflowers.

I took my cue from "flowers" and created a one layer CAS card. I stuck with a limited palette: black, coffee brown, and butter bar (dark yellow). First, I stamped the grungy bird and sentiment (from the soon-to-be-released set, Trendy Birds 2) in black. Then I covered it with the coordinating mask (ARTplorations Some Birds) and stamped the large daffodils in coffee brown ink. I gave the flowers a pop of color by stamping the centers with a splatter stamp in dark yellow ink. I finished the card by rounding one corner.
