Paper craft project no. 413 : Especially for you one layer card

Popping by to share the card I made for Time Out. This time around, we're CASEing our guest designer's card and putting our own twist. We are CASEing Marika from Me and Minime Crafting. Below is her card:

I CASEd the layout of her card and for my twist, I went with one layer (no surprise there). I stamped the large narcissus and masked it before stamping the grungy border and dotty background (from the Mixed Media Grunge set). I removed the mask and "colored" the image with a splatter stamp (from the Mixed Media Elements set). I added a few small hearts (from the Anchored set) and stamped the sentiment from the Country Rustic set).

Linking up to The Paper Players #278: Clean and Simple Valentine. It also fits the January CAS Card Challenge at STAMPlorations (I skipped the optional color twist).

Paper craft project no. 412: Merry merry merry one layer card

Popping by to share the card I made for the new challenge we have over at the One Layer Christmas Card Challenge. I stamped the bells (Holiday Sketches; Christmas Bells) and masked them before stamping the grungy borders and splats (Mixed Media Grunge and Mixed Media Elements) and finishing off with the sentiment (Joyful). Grungy, just like how like it, but still pretty CAS :o)

Check out what my teamie Vicki and Susan made + we have our first guest designer, the talented Ashwini. Link up by February 1 -- we'd love to see you there!

Paper craft project no. 411: Happy birthday one layer card

For my STAMPlorations January stamp release blog hop post, click here.

There's still a week left to play with the current challenge over at Time Out. The theme is birthday with the optional technique twist of sponging.

I went all one layer and graphic again + the twist. I sponged yellow and pink inks over the stencil (ARTplorations Tribal Triangles), stamped the grunge newsprint stamp (from the Mixed Media Grunge set) in coffee ink, stamped the sentiment (from the new release, Big Greetings), and the card is done.

My card is a CASE of Laura Bassen's card that's featured in the January CASEplorations at STAMPlorations. Check it out and give CASEing a try, will you? :o)

Paper craft project no. 410: A trio of one layer cards featuring Big Greetings

It's stamp release week over at STAMPlorations! There are 4 fun stamps in this release and each day we are featuring one stamp set and cards made by each designer! Last Monday, the spotlight was on Becca and her Reindeer Games set. Yesterday, it was Deepti's turn with her set, New Beginning. Today's my turn with a versatile sentiment set, Big Greetings.

Here are cards I created with this versatile sentiment set. I kept the cards one layer and used simple techniques such as stenciling, sponging, masking, coloring with markers, and collage stamping.

(Other stamps used: Narcissus - LargeMixed Media Elements)

(Other products used: Trendy Butterflies with coordinating ARTplorations Shower of Flutters stencil)

Hope you liked the cards and are inspired by them! Tomorrow, the spotlight will be on Shirley and her Winged Things set. Then on Friday, the Inspiration girls will be sharing their cards in one big mega blog hop post! Leave a comment here and on the STAMP blog here for your chance to win this set.

If you'd rather skip the hopping, this set and the other three are available in the shop at 10% off each until January 22. Buy all 4 as a bundle and get it at 20% off. See them here

Paper craft project no. 409: Happy birthday one layer card

Popping by to share the card I made for the new challenge over at Time Out: birthday with the optional technique twist of sponging. Check out the cards the rest of the team + our guest designer Rema made! Uniko is our sponsor for the challenge.

For my quick graphic one layer card, I stamped the sentiment (from the new release, Big Greetings) then placed the stencil/mask (ARTplorations Daisy Dance) and sponged yellow and orange inks. With the stencil/mask still in place, I stamped the newsprint (from the Mixed Media Grunge set) in brown ink on the open spaces. I removed the stencil/mask and then stamped the coordinating daisy stamp (from the Bloom Sketches set). I finished the card by rounding one corner.

Sorry to dash off -- I have a 4-month-old who has started teething so she has been extra fussy and needing mommy even more.
