'tis the season for giving

It's that time again. You know...the blog hop for coffee lovers. My little stamp company is once again one of the {88} super sponsors of this fun event. Yeah, there are tons of prizes up for grabs! I'm offering 5 prizes for the main event + 2 more at the STAMPlorations blog.

For my card, I created a holiday to-go cup with the Coffee to Go: Fall and Winter stamp set and colored it with Bic alcohol markers. Then I masked it before stamping the large sketchy poinsettia. Sentiment is from Hello Christmas. Finished up the card by adding a border and grunging it up a bit using stamps from my go-to background/texture/grunge set, Mixed Media Grunge.

The hop lasts for a week and you can link up your own fall- or winter-themed coffee creations by December 7 here.

If you'd like a free winter-themed coffee digi stamp you can use to join in, make sure you visit this post on the STAMPlorations blog. Leave a comment on that post as well and you get a shot at one of 2 extra prizes: a $10 gift certificate or the Coffee to Go stamp set that I used in my card.

And check out the STAMPlorations store -- stamps, stencils, and dies in the Coffee/Tea Lovers section are 50% off during the hop (excluding newly released products). Just put at least $30 worth of coffee-themed products in your cart and then apply code FALLCLBH50 on checkout.

Christmas blessings

Here's to remind you that there's still a week left in the current challenge at Time Out Challenges. It's a theme challenge: Black + White + 1 other color -- with an optional twist of one layer.

Similar to my previous card, my second card is black, white, and red + it's one layer. And again, I stuck with a simple design -- stamped the large poinsettia in the middle, stamped the sentiment, and then finished off the card by adding a border and grunging it up a little.

I hope you'll come play with us and take time out to craft!

season for giving

Sharing a clean and simple one layer Christmas card. By stamping the large sketchy Christmas gift image on the bottom corner and leaving it uncolored and then stamping the sentiment so that it partially overlaps it, the card is pretty uncluttered and has plenty of white space at the top.

come let us adore Him

A new challenge is up at Time Out Challenges. For the next two weeks, we'd like to see projects with the following colors: Black + White + 1 other color. There's an optional twist too of one layer.

I went with red as my other color, as well as did a one layer card...my favorite kind of card to make :o) The design's simple too -- stamped the large poinsettia on two opposite corners, stamped the sentiment, and then finished off the card by adding a border and grunging it up a little.

If you feel like playing along, don't forget to link up!

joys of Christmas

Back with one more Christmas card to add to my stash. I thought I'd create a Christmas tree of coffee treats so I did a lot of masking as I stamped the images in the Coffee Petites set. I loosely watercolored my sweet coffee Christmas tree and finished it with a simple sentiment from Homespun Christmas.

joy to the world

So I'm working on building a stash of Christmas cards for my MIL and here's one of cards I was able to make -- a simple one layer card with one of the traditional Christmas colors. I stamped the sentiment in the center and then stamped the beautiful layered poinsettias on opposite corners and then finished the card by stamping the borders. This card was quick and easy to make!

merry Christmas tag

Hey there! I'm excited to be part of the 25 Days Of Christmas Tags event featuring my little stamp company, STAMPlorations! The event created and hosted by Tracey McNeely is in its 8th year, with STAMPlorations back as one of the sponsors. We're offering 2 prizes: two $25 gift certificates to the store.  However, if you visit my other post on the STAMPlorations blog where I share the two other tags I made, there are TWO extra prizes up for grabs just for those who leave a comment there.

Image may contain: text

Make sure you check out Tracey's blog to see the awesome tags the STAMPlorations team made. For this event, I made 3 tags -- the other two are here.

The Merry Christmas Tag
How I made this tag: I used one of the dies in the Stitched Tags Nesting Dies for my tag base and dry-embossed the Doodled Christmas Candles Cover Plate Die on it. I sponged Distress Oxide inks on the tag and added a little texture with stamps from Mixed Media Grunge and Mixed Media Elements. Then I die-cut the Merry Christmas Word Art Die three times on white card stock, stacked them, and sponged it with Distress Oxide ink.

Anyway, check out my two other tags on the STAMPlorations blog. Comment there as well and you may just be one of two winners of the products I used to make those tags! :o)

grateful tag

Hey! Back with a new project -- this time a tag, as I'm joining the girls in the TAGplorations team over at STAMPlorations for this month's TAGplorations challenge. This month, the theme is Thanksgiving -- or giving thanks/being thankful/grateful (if you don't celebrate the American holiday) -- with the optional twist of polka dots.

joy this Christmas

It's time for an inspiration project post over at STAMPlorations. Thought I'd join the girls in the Inspiration team since I had a few of The Bee's Knees stamps out.

I stamped the solid poinsettia in yellow then the outline in light green. Then I simply stamped the sentiment in dark red ink.

Check out what the Inspiration girls created here. Leave a comment there for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the STAMPlorations store. And until November 12, all stamps in The Bee's Knees line are 10% off instantly.

a one layer mixed media Christmas card

It's a new week! Do you feel rested after getting that extra hour when time changed at 2 this morning? I'm back with another Christmas card, as I'm joining the girls in the Mixed Media team over at STAMPlorations for this month's mixed media challenge. It's anything mixed media goes + use a stencil/stencils.

I'm still on a roll making Christmas cards so I went with a simple one layer mixed media card. Blended Distress Oxide inks on my card base and used wet wipes over the stained glass stencil. Stamped a text stamp all over through the stencil to add a little interest. Stamped the sentiment and then added a border using a silver Marabu art crayon.

Challenges:

I hope you'll play along this month at the Mixed Media Challenge. Create a mixed media project (including cards!) -- just make sure  you use a stencil (or stencils) -- and then link up. The challenge closes at end of the month. The winner (voted by the design team) will receive a $15 GC to the STAMPlorations store.
