Free Bible Verse Printable: Perfect Gift from Above

Close to 15 years ago, when I was dabbling in graphic design, I practiced by creating printables from my favorite Bible verses. I would make them postcard size and mail them to DH (who wasn't my DH yet). Fast forward to today. DH and I have so much to be thankful for, and as I was reading my Bible this morning, this verse (James 1:17) talked to me. And after contemplating, I was compelled to create a printable out of it.

I hope you find this Bible verse as meaningful as I do. Feel free to download it and print it for your personal use. Or share it on social media :o)

Paper craft project nos. 327 and 328: Perk Up! Latte Love one layer cards

Yay, two more cards done -- progress! :o) These cards are quickie one layer cards using a couple of new coffee-themed stencils from ARTplorations and STAMPlorations stamps.

One Layer Card #1: PERK UP!
I made this by dabbing Distress paint (barn door) over the coffee cup stencil, stamping the sentiment, and using Japanese watercolor brush pens for adding some spatters and that artsy frame.

One Layer Card #2: LATTE LOVE
I never waste paint if I can help it! And that's what I did on this card. I flipped over the stencil I used for card #1 and brayered over it to transfer the paint onto my card base. Really loved the painterly effect! I sponged light brown ink through the latte stencil, stamped the sentiment in black, and all done :o)

I made these cards for the Spring Coffee Lovers blog hop that's hosted by Amy Tsuruta and Chaitali Narla. Join in on the fun here. And if you'd like to win the stencils I used in my cards above, just head over to the STAMPlorations blog -- STAMPlorations is one the sponsors of this fun hop!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Paper craft project nos. 324, 325, and 326: A trio of one layer cards

Today I finally got to spend an hour and a half on my craft table after many, many weeks of not being able to craft. And it felt so good! An hour and a half was just about the maximum time I could manage today, but I'm feeling optimistic that I'll be able to get that time up over the next several weeks :o)

During those 90 minutes, I created 3 one layer cards -- my favorite kind of cards to make! I played with the new stamp set that I designed: Blossom Overture (you can preview it here).

One Layer Card #1
I created my rose garden by stamping the stemmed rose several times across the bottom, masking as I went along. I used Chameleon alcohol markers to loosely color the blooms.

One Layer Card #2
For this CAS card, I colored the morning glory with Faber-Castell watercolor pencils and then used a damp brush to blend the colors.

One Layer Card #3
I used masking, one of my favorite techniques, to create dimension in this OLC. I first stamped the distressed/vintage label then masked it before stamping the big rose stamp and coloring with Chameleon alcohol markers. I added some spatters using a wet brush loaded with mustard seed Distress ink.

Soon to not be MIA

It's been more than 4 weeks since I posted a card or project here (or played in challenges...or worked on DT projects). I have a very good reason for being MIA, and one I hope to share in a few weeks time :o)

In any case, I was going through photos of my old projects and found this 6x6 mixed media canvas I did nearly 2 years ago when I participated in Artella's Mystery Muse Project. My musee's word was "flourish" so I incorporated that in this gift I mailed her :o)

Hope you're having a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope to be back to posting regularly again here soon :o)
