Paper craft project no. 491: Soar one layer card

Hello! Back today with a card for the current challenge at Time Out. There is still a week left to play over there. It's Home Sweet Home challenge, where we have an inspiration photo:

I took inspiration from the colors and two of the elements (bird and flowers) to create my one-layer card. I stamped the grungy bird (Trendy Birds 2) in black, the sentiment (Noteworthy 2) in salmon, and the grungy florals (Big Bloom Factory) in various colors. For faux texture and to ground the black bird, I randomly stamped a couple of grunge borders (Mixed Media Grunge, Mixed Media Elements) in black.

Check out the cards that the TO team + guest designer KandA made and then come play with us! STAMPlorations is also sponsoring the challenge. One winner (voted by the design team) will receive a $10 gift certificate and another winner (randomly drawn from all entries) will win her choice of stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to smile :o)

  5. You amaze me as to how many elements you can add on a one layer card and always come up with 'amazing' results. This is another fabulous piece of art Shery. Love it! I'm struggling with this one but hope to get something half decent to add to this challenge.
