Sharing a quick card today. I made this for the hubby, as we will be celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary next week. It's the last time we'll be celebrating our anniversary with just the two of us, because Baby Girl Russ will be making her debut in August :o) Whenever I make cards or mixed media projects, he's the first one to see them because he likes to walk over to my craft table and see what I'm making, but this time I managed to hide this one from him :o) I used gesso, Distress paints, archival inks and stamps to make this one layer monochromatic card. I've got a photo tutorial showing how I put this card together here.
Linking my card to these fun challenges:
- Craft for the Craic - Wings
- One Layer Simplicity #16 - Blossom
- Addicted to CAS #63 - Birds
- City Crafter #261 - Focus on Flowers
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend and don't forget to smile :o)

ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary mf...great card. Always interested in seeing your mixed media works. I like how you used the flower and yet kept the card masculine.
ReplyDeleteGreat technique - the way you've taken esentially an image more associated with a female theme and made it very masculine. You make this look deceptively effortless!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for entering it into our challenge at Craft for the Craic
