For the next couple of weeks it's the Inspired by Words challenge over at Time Out. Our inspirational quote this time is "Happy is the bride that the sun shines on." To play along, simply create a project inspired by the quote. You can be inspired by the whole quote or just a word or two.
Me, I took my cue from "bride". I thought that all brides are beautiful on their wedding day and so I focused on a sentiment that expresses that. I also did some more word association: bride means wedding, and wedding means elegance; gold is one of the things I'd associate with elegance, hence the Delicata gold ink I used to stamp the trendy bird, the narcissus, and sentiment. For a bold and unexpected contrast, I stamped the newsprint, trendy butterflies, and part of the sentiment in rhubarb stalk Memento Luxe. I wasn't so sure initially about the color combo but I was glad I went with a bold color to pair with the gold because the card came out pretty -- it looks grungy, artsy, and CAS at the same time...and I didn't need to add splattering! ;o)
So how does the quote, "Happy is the bride that the sun shines on," inspire you? We'd love to see your project! We have the lovely Sue of Sue's Card Craft guest designing. Do check out her beautiful card, as well as the cards made by the TO girls!
